Caluwaerts Uytterhoeven was founded in 2001, with 2 initial partners with bar experience since 1993. Meanwhile, the office is in its sixteen year of existence. Caluwaerts Uytterhoeven established at the 1st of April 2013 the company entity Legal Office CVBA which unifies the clients of Mr. Kristiaan Caluwaerts and Mr. Kristof Uytterhoeven.

Over the years, the 2 inital partners have surrounded themselves with competent, qualified associates. Mr. Ignace Kroos joined the firm as a third partner in 2015, followed by Mr. Steven Slachmuylders as the fourth partner in June 2016. Currently the team exists out of 16 lawyers who are all specialised in a specific area of expertise.

Since the formation, four practices groups were set up, namely business law, construction law, labour law and transport law, to allow the lawyers to concentrate on their area. Caluwaerts Uytterhoeven mainly focuses on local and international companies and their entrepreneurs as well as on institutional clients. A team of qualified and experienced lawyers can conduct thorough proceeding, or assist with legal advices, the drafting of contracts and assisting/representing clients in negotiation/arbitration.

Know-how, experience, and transparency in conducting your case are the priorities of every client engaging legal counsel, and these are also the priorities of this law firm.

Increasing globalisation is a fact, both in the business world and in private relationships. As such the law firm Caluwaerts Uytterhoeven is proud to be a member of LawExchange International, a prominent network of law offices throughout the Americas north and south, Europe, South Asia and Australia. The office regularly handles both incoming and outgoing dossiers with an international angle.
