Jade & Fountain has advised online video game giant Shanda Games on its Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the NASDAQ stock exchange.

The listing raised more than $1 billion and is the largest IPO of 2009 in the US and one of the largest ever single-listed IPOs by any China-based company.

Shanda Games develops and operates multiplayer online video games for 10 million users in China. Jade & Fountain had previously advised its parent company, Shanda Interactive Entertainment, on its public offering of convertible senior notes last year which was valued at $155 million.

Jade & Fountain’s legal team was led by Scott Guan and Jeffrey Yang, partners in the firm’s capital markets group. The Shanghai-based firm has just been named by Asian Legal Business as one of the top 10 fastest growing Chinese law firms of 2009.
