Jessica Lingertat, of Gould & Ratner LLP (USA-Chicago), was featured in a pair of articles on Globe St. – The Big Winners In Transit-Oriented Design and What Atlanta Can Learn from Chicago’s Transit-Oriented Development.  She was asked to provide an outside perspective behind the transit-orienteddesign trend. Jessica noted that “transit-oriented development has grown out of a move toward a higher density and more urban nature of development.”[caption id="attachment_4000" align="alignleft" width="144"] Jessica Lingertat[/caption]In observing that many elements are influencing this TOD trend, she noted, “The current TOD concept is really just a somewhat extreme example of the general historical trend for development to follow along transit lines and expand around transportation hubs.”
