[Best_Wordpress_Gallery id="19" gal_title="Hewitsons supports Cleantech Venture Day 2017"]Hewitsons was proud to be a gold sponsor of the inaugural Cleantech Venture day held at KPMG’s offices in Mayfair, London on 30-31 October.The event was organised by Cambridge Cleantech, in collaboration with the Finnish Nordic Innovation Accelerator, and was deemed a huge success by all who attended. Throughout the two-day event Cambridge-based  companies including Origami Energy, Pavegen,  and Cambridge SES  pitched for funding to an experienced panel of judges, including Hewitsons’ Head of Technology, Andrew Priest.  The firm has championed cleantech companies in the region for many years and is a founder member of Cambridge Cleantech.The companies pitched competitively to an audience of experienced investors and corporate innovation leaders, all looking for investment or collaboration opportunities in emerging clean technologies. Also in attendance were Hewitsons’ partners David James and Colin Jones.  The event closed with the Global Cleantech Cluster Associate Awards. Iteros, from San Diego, who build energy management software, took the top prize.Andrew Priest, Head of Technology at Hewitsons, commented: “Seeing some of the best and brightest of Cambridge’s cleantech community turn out in support of the Cleantech Venture Day has been a great experience.
