WALTHAM, MA - Morse Barnes-Brown Pendleton corporate partner Jonathan D. Gworek has been named a member of the The National Venture Capital Association's (NVCA) General Counsel Advisory Board. The NVCA recently announced the formation of this select group, which is comprised of general counsels from NVCA member firms, outside counsels to member firms, and the academic community. There are a total of only 15 members selected from across the country, 7 of whom represent outside counsel firms similar to MBBP. The General Counsel Advisory Board was created to maintain and update the NVCA’s model legal documents and to provide guidance to the NVCA on policy matters impacting venture capital and VC-backed companies. The NVCA announcement was made in connection with the recent release of the updates to its model legal documents. The updates were shepherded by this newly created General Counsel Advisory Board, including Jon, who played a lead role in drafting provisions specific to life science venture capital transactions.Congratulations to Jon on this appointment.
