22 March 2017
Morse, Barnes-Brown & Pendleton (USA-Boston Area) are pleased to announce that Amanda R. Phillips, a litigation associate with the firm, has been named by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as a recipient of their "2017 Up & Coming Lawyers Award". The recognition is awarded to a select number of attorneys who have been practicing for fewer than 10 years but whose professional achievements are noteworthy and whose service to the community is also significant.A cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School, Amanda holds a B.S. in accountancy from Bentley University and is a C.P.A. With a background which includes serving as a Special Agent in the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations, it is not surprising that her pro bono work has a special focus on representing disabled veterans before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veteran Claims. Among her other charitable endeavors, Amanda also provides tax counseling to low-income and elderly taxpayers, and advises low income pro se litigants in family court. In short, it is easy to see why Amanda is being honored by Lawyers Weekly and why we are proud to have her on our team.
