PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP PARTNER GREGORY L. PETERSON PARTICIPATES IN THE 11TH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN LAW DIALOGS

Jamestown, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP Partner Gregory H. Peterson participated in the 11thInternational Humanitarian Law Dialogs event titled “Changing Times: New Opportunities forInternational Justice and Accountability.” The event was held August 27-29 at the Robert H. JacksonCenter in Jamestown. Mr. Peterson led a discussion regarding the prosecution of the members of theKhmer Rouge with international prosecutors Robert Petit, Andrew Cayley and current Co-Prosecutor ofthe Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, Nicholas Koumjian.The Law Dialogs is an historic gathering of current and former international war crimes tribunalprosecutors, renowned academics, and law experts, who are invited to speak on current issuescentered on a theme. The culminating event of this year’s conference was the issuance of theNuremberg Declaration, issued by all International Prosecutors in attendance. The declaration states,"the challenge for State and for the international community is to fulfill the promise of the law they created; to enforce judicial decisions; [and] to ensure the arrest and surrender of sought individuals....”Annually the Law Dialogs continue to strive to honor these notions and to advance the field of International Humanitarian Law.Mr. Peterson, Director and Co-Founder of the Robert H.
