PROCOPIO PROMOTES THREE TO PARTNERSHIP

Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP (San Diego) announce the election of three attorneys to its partnership.Michele B. Brown, Mindy M. Morton and Wendy L. Tucker were voted in as partners earlier this year.“Each of these outstanding lawyers has demonstrated exceptional legal skills and work ethic, impeccable integrity, and a commitment to the values we cherish here at Procopio,” stated Tom Turner, the firm’s Managing Partner.[caption id="attachment_3224" align="alignleft" width="150"] Michele Brown[/caption]Ms. Brown is a member of the Family Law Group, where she handles dissolution of marriage, paternity, custody, support and pre-marital agreement matters. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Riverside and her law degree from the University of San Diego.  Michele is a Certified Family Law Specialist and is extremely involved in the family law legal community, both locally and on a statewide level. She is President-Elect of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts-CA Chapter, Vice-Chair of Legislation and a Board Member for the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists and an Advisor for the State Bar of California, Family Law Section.  Michele has been recognized as one of the top family lawyers in San Diego; she frequently testifies before the Senate and Assembly Judiciary Committees on family law legislation and is based in the downtown office.[caption id="attachment_3225" align="alignleft" width="150"] Mindy Morton[/caption]Ms. Morton is a member of our Intellectual Property Litigation Team, resident in the Silicon Valley office.  Mindy achieved her BA, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of California, Berkeley and went on to obtain her JD at Yale Law School, where she was an Editor of the Yale Law Journal.  Mindy has had great success handling a wide variety of internet and intellectual property disputes, as well as a range of general litigation matters.  She has been active in numerous organizations in Silicon Valley and was recently elected to the Board of Directors for The CLUB, an incubator of women leaders in Silicon Valley.  She was just recognized as a 2016 Woman of Influence in Silicon Valley by the Silicon Valley Business Journal.[caption id="attachment_3226" align="alignleft" width="150"] Wendy Tucker[/caption]Ms. Tucker is member of our Labor and Employment Team and obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Montana and her law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law.  Wendy handles both counseling matters and litigation on behalf of a wide variety of employers, including clients in the healthcare, Native American, public agency and charter school arenas.  She is a frequent speaker on employment law topics and has been recognized as one of the top employment attorneys in San Diego.  Wendy represents clients throughout California.
