[Best_Wordpress_Gallery id="25" gal_title="2018 European Regional Conference, Barcelona"]June saw Law Exchange International’s latest European Regional Conference being held in the heart of the stunning city of Barcelona. New LEI member, Spanish law firm Net Craman Abogados hosted the symposium on hot topic of the day, the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Delegates attending from 11 jurisdictions were treated to a full programme of presentations from experts on the Regulation and from in-house counsel and executives responsible for designing and implementing the Coca-Cola European Partners and Headway Executive Search compliance programmes.  Amongst the points covered were the challenges the Data Protection Regulation has thrown up for different business types and its importance beyond European borders due to its extra-territorial effect. The round-table discussion that followed the morning’s presentations provided the opportunity for LEI member firms to share their approaches to advising clients on the subject and with Net Craman serving up a fine drinks Reception and evening on Barcelona’s sea-front, firm and lasting friendships were made. All this, making the Barcelona Conference another example of LawExchange International delivering for its members and for their clients.
