How has Covid-19 Changed the Way We Litigate in Scotland?

The enactment of The Coronavirus (Scotland) Acts 2020 forced the Scottish courts to depart from traditional methods and adapt to modern, less paper-intensive methods of operation. There has also been an increase in the number of parties using alternative methods of dispute resolution. The changes introduced in the 2020 Acts are enforceable until September 2021; therefore, the long-term impact on litigation in Scotland remains to be seen.
